We love Super Mario Galaxy 2. It’s easy to play because the controls are the same as for Super Mario Galaxy. There are lots of fun new adventures! At the beginning you actually get to play while it’s telling you the story so it’s not as boring. The worlds are different but even in the ones that look like the old game, the bosses are different and they put in different twists to keep you on your toes. I like how there’s a spaceship that looks like Mario and a new purple Luma and you get to ride Yoshi. If you liked Super Mario Galaxy, you will LOVE Super Mario Galaxy 2!!

I am loving this new game! Actually, WE are loving the new game since I think my kids have played it more that I have. I was intrigued by all the ads showing some of the puzzles in the game. The puzzles are a lot of fun even though some are incredibly frustrating! I can’t really complain when my kids are playing it since they have to read the story, find the clues and solve the various puzzles to play to game. Definitely a bit of workout for their minds. I don’t yet have the Professor Layton game that preceded this one but I think I will have to get it! It is very addictive. I am all for giving my brain some exercise and this game really helps.

I think I just had the best idea for a Mother’s Day and/or Father’s Day gift. I sent a Nintendo DSiXL to my parents as a gift! I did all the set up work so that when they got it, they could just play. They had tried a regular sized DS and liked it but found the screen a little hard to see. This larger screen size is just great! Now they can play the Brain Age games and have no excuse for mistakes. My mother loved the fact that I had the children leave personalized messages on the DSi Sound section and they both loved the photos we put onto the DSiXL before we sent it to them. My son made them a flip notebook too. They like playing sudoku and other games but I can see that I will be able to send them many other games in the future. The gift that keeps on giving! I think I will send Professor Layton next. That should keep them busy for a LONG time.
